Massage Therapy

Here at the Chinese Treatment Centre, in the Canberra suburb of Turner we have several massage therapists that can provide a variety of massage services. Our practitioner will consult with you to provide the ideal massage treatment. Chinese massage (Tuina) is an excellent remedial massage therapy that uses a variety of hand techniques and soft-tissue manipulation. This will result in relaxed muscles and relieve pain. This massage can be used to complement an acupuncture treatment.

Chinese Herbal Medicine

We use Chinese herbs based on the holistic principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Chinese herbal medicine is backed by thousands of years of proven history in treating patients. The herbal medicine is used to complement treatments such as acupuncture and massage. At the Chinese Treatment Centre in Canberra you can purchase Chinese herbs. We have over 300 different Chinese herbs which we source from reputable companies in Sydney and Melbourne.

This treatment is used to promote blood circulation and incorporates the use of a herb which is burnt on or close to the body. It is a traditional Chinese medicine therapy which uses a herb called Moxa, commonly known as Mugwort. The herb is rolled into cigar-shaped herbal sticks, which are lit and then held over acupuncture points.
